Water

These plants do not need much water. I find that they only need water every 3 to 4 weeks.

Light

Ficus Lyrata requires High to Direct Light to thrive.

Window

These plants do the best in a South or West window.

Easy Scale

Fiddle Leaf Fig's are hard because many people overwater them and they require high light.

Soil

These plants need nice airy soil to thrive, or you can give it a good all-purpose potting soil if you are not an overwatering person. If you are going to mix your own soil you will want to use 60% cactus soil and 40% all-purpose potting soil.

How often should you repot

You should repot this popular plant every 2 to 3 years.

Growth Scale

They are medium growers because they do not grow as fast as a Pothos but not as slow as per say a Snake Plant.

Pot

You will want to use terra-cotta.

Pests

Fortunately, Ficus Lyrata's do not get pests very easily, but they can still get mealybugs, scale, spider mites, whiteflies, and aphids.

Propagation

To propagate a Fiddle Leaf Fig you just need to cut below a leaf and strip the bottom 2 or 3 leaves and stick it in soil or water.

Roots

They have strong roots so if you have to cut some during a re-pot don't worry about it.

Humidity

You do not have to be too concerned but, I would say to keep it about 40% to 60%.

Toxic

I hate to tell you this, but this plant is toxic including ficin and ficusin.
