Water

These plants like a lot of water. They droop like Peace Lily's do when they need water

Light

These Plants due best in about medium light.

Window

Homalomena prefer an East Window and about 1 foot away from it. 3.5 feet from a West and 5-6 feet from a South. If they are put in an North window you should put them right in front of the window.

Easy Scale

These plants are medium to take care of because they need a lot of water.

Soil

Homalomena's can take most soils but do best with a soil that holds a bit more moisture.

How often should you re-pot

These plants should be re-potted about every 2-3 years.

Growth Scale

Homalomena are medium growers, so they grow pretty fast but not as fast as a Pothos would.

Pot

These plants would do best in a plastic pot because in terra-cotta you would be watering constantly.

Pests

These plants can get spider mites, aphids, and mealy bugs but tend to not get pests very often.

Propagation

You can propagate be cutting the stem below the node and putting it in water or soil. You can also divide these plants.

Roots

The roots are pretty tough and can handle a lot unless over watering occurs or pests.

Humidity

These plants can take about 40% to 70% to thrive in your house.

Toxic

These plants are unfortunately toxic but only slightly.
